A Trip to Belleplain State Forest, NJ

When: Saturday April 18th, 8:00 AM
Start Location: We will meet at Dorchester Wawa at 7:45 am. Bathrooms are available at this Wawa. if you're picking up food/snacks at Wawa, please be prepared to leave the parking lot at 8am.

Import info: Bring your bug spray, weather protection and plenty of water and snacks.
This trip is a combination of road-side birding and walks on flat, usually dirt, paths.
Description: Located within the Pinelands National Reserve, the forest contains the greatest variety of habitats anywhere in New Jersey, including saltwater marsh, Atlantic white cedar swamp, mixed hardwood swamp and oak-hickory forest. There are over forty miles of trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding. Belleplain is a well-known birding spot, especially during the spring migration.
